Proper tools with proper use to help ensure seals are not damaged during install and re-assemble. Inspect piston rod condition. Sharp edges cut seals and leak. Pits , grooves and depth scratche allow fluid to pass / not seal. Inspect inside of barrel . If ballooned, fluid will leak pass piston seal. Sharp edges cut seals and leak. Pits , grooves and depth scratche allow fluid to pass / not seal. Contaminated hydraulic oil will damage seals.
