Jinma 254 / 284 with Gear Shifter cover Removed, With 80W90 gear Oil in the transmission / Differential gear box.
Below are some pictures of a new Jinma 254 that had the factory gear oil drianed and replaced with 80W90 gear oil. Some of the pictures are shown with the engine running at idle. One in neutral , others in first gear. You can see how the gear oil is sticking to the gears (by oil design). Gear boxes are designed to work off of the splash system (no oil pump). If you were to bring the engine up off idle it will / would sling the oil out quickly, we want talk about the mess it would make. lol . . Below are some pictures of a new Jinma 254 that has factory gear oil prior to being drianed and replaced with 80W90 gear oil. Notice that the factory oil is not as sticky and dosen't cling and coat the gears like gear oil does, that is shown in the pictures above.
