Welcome to our site.
If you are totally new to Jinma ? You must do some research. A Jinma is not for everyone just like a Ford truck is not for everyone.
New Jinma tractors can be purchased broke down and in a steel crate. Ranch Hand Supply does not sell tractors in the crate. If you are considering purchasing a Jinma tractor in the factory crate Please Be Aware ..... I will list some of the things we experience with our tractors that we receive crated and some tid bits you should think about and research while shopping for a Jinma tractor dealer/seller. The factory books that come with the Jinma tractors do not show, illustrate or read anything about how to assemble the tractor.
It states nothing on what should be done to the tractor prior to it being put to service/work.
All the oils that come in the tractors is a very poor quality oil and must be replaced. The books do not mention this or what USA oils they recommend.
We have never un-crated one and found it half put together but, No Quality Control program has been performed at the factory. These tractors must have proper service/prep and fine tune adjustments made ..... again, not in books. As long as someone has done it they make great little tractors.
The factory books do not give any step by step guides to trouble shooting problems with detail.
The factory books do not provide you with a step by step clear guide to adjust the clutch, adjust the valves, replace the water pump, repair the hydraulics etc, etc.....
Needed no charge Warranty Parts are between you and the one you purchased your tractor from. All Jinma sellers are independent of each other and warranties will differ.
Free replacement parts from shipping damage are between you and the one you purchased your tractor from.
Missing parts are between you and the one you purchased your tractor from.
We are not trying to tell you not to buy a crate tractor.... just do your home work first.
All sellers don't offer the same warranty period. We offer a one parts and labor only warranty or a One year parts only warranty and that includes Technical Assistance with pictures via email.
Your customer service , warranty, technical assistance and replacement parts availability is something you should consider when deciding on who to purchase from.
Would you rather call or email the people you purchased your Jinma from when you have questions, need replacement parts, or go on the internet and try to find someone that will help you?
Purchasing a Jinma tractor assembled does not mean it has been properly serviced
It will take you some time to read and research all the information that is available to determine the best tractor to fit your needs and budget. One thing I think you will find out is that most owners of Jinma tractors realized that they needed a compact tractor, but also realized they did not need the cost of a heavy duty industrial tractor that could or would spend more time sitting in a shelter than they will spend using it.....especially when the Jinma can perform the same task.
It has been said that working on a Jinma tractor is like a tractor with 1950's technology or in automobile terms, cars and trucks from the 1960's & early 1970's technology with metric nuts and bolts. This also makes it appealing to the individuals that like to do their own repairs and maintenance, or need to be able to at an affordable cost. With the Jinma getting more popular .... there are more independent shop starting to work on them.
If you are expecting your new Jinma tractor to have a smooth and slick automotive paint finish, sorry......this ain't the tractor. But, if a pretty darn good paint job and a pretty good fit and finish that works and will last a long time....then maybe it is for you? What that means is that Jinma does not put a lot of effort into having a fancy slick paint job and smooth fit...all though it has been getting better every year!
Jinma tractors have been manufactured in China for over 40 years, sell to over 50 different countries and have been imported into the USA for over 20 years with more new dealers/sellers every year. I think you will find that the better Jinma tractors on the market are coming through dealers that offer local repair to their customers. Two possible reasons are: #1: A better PDSA is performed and #2: They stock parts.
The Jinma tractor has been relabeled by many. Examples are Nortrac by Northern Products, Ag King, Farm Master, Iron Horse, FarmPro, Agracat, Farm Boss and the list goes on and on. If you will read back in the past Chinese tractor forums [links at bottom of page] it will help you with all the different models and name tags and who is who.
The Jinma is a no nonsense tractor, it does not come with a cup colder, cigarette lighter or even a radio. There is no computer/electronics.
If you are looking for an inexpensive plain tractor that can handle the job with no frills, then Jinma may be for you. Meaning, if a tractor and it's attachment are matched up properly to perform the needed task......how many different ways can you cut grass, mow weeds, run a wood chipper, move dirt, move brush, run a loader, drill post holes, box blade, rake, blow snow etc.??
But one must remember....being able to drive a tractor and knowing how to operate a tractor are two different things. Tractors are not Toys. They will kill you. If you are purchasing your first tractor and will be learning ?.... remember tractor work is slow work. You will learn your ground speeds. You do not want to bounce hard. They do/will roll over.
There also may not be a Jinma Dealer around the corner from you, but there are several places you will find on the internet to get replacement parts. If the UPS man can get to you....then the odds are you can get parts. You will find this info out in the links below.
We think you will find that The Jinma Tractors will fit your needs if you are looking for a little tough diesel 4x4 tractor that works hard and does not have a high purchase or repair cost.
Even if the tractor has had a proper PDSA, it is still going to require a certain amount of scheduled maintenance and repairs, just like the other tractor manufacturers.
While you are shopping for your tractor, don't forget to compare repair and maintenance cost while under warranty and out of warranty.
Most tractor owners of any make don't have a dealer around the corner or even down the road. They depend on a part stocking dealer and the UPS man for parts and perform their own repairs.
Remember to ask a John Deere owner about a John Deere tractor and a Jinma owner about a Jinma Tractor, Chevy owner about a Chevy and a Kubota owner about a Kubota. I think you will find in your research that most all Jinma owners are happy with their purchase.
The worst name bashing I have heard has come from people that have never owned one of our tractors or from a competitor. Do your home work and contact us with any questions.
Good Luck with your tractor and dealer search!
